222: Two Restaurants, Two Days, Two States
In 2 days, I had the opportunity to visit 2 restaurants in 2 different states. Please don’t rack your brain wondering how I was able to pull off something so diabolical 🙂 I ventured to Cincinnati, Ohio and right across the bridge were good eats in Covington, Kentucky.
In Cincinnati, I made my way to the Hyde Park neighborhood and experienced Green Papaya. If you are not familiar with the area, be careful to not pass up the restaurant. This restaurant is found in a short strip mall at 2942 Wasson Road. Their vast menu has something for everyone. NOTE: The lighting in Green Papaya was low. The quality of the pictures do not reflect the quality of the food.
My favorite dish was the entrée. I ordered Siam Seafood with an order of brown rice. Fresh seafood and vegetables filled each bite.
Across the bridge in Covington, Ohio, I found an eclectic and hip restaurant on Main Street named Otto’s. Located at 521 Main Street with a red rooster guarding the front steps, the staff made me feel at home as soon as I walked through the door.
Kate suggested I try their Arnold Palmer. Made with pink lemonade and lightly sweetened tea, this drink paired well with the Chicken Salad Sandwich and Sweet Potato Fries. Don’t look for ketchup to accompany the Sweet Potato Fries. Instead of ketchup, a sweet syrup is served with the crisp Sweet Potato Fries. The Chicken Salad was not packed with extras like relish and eggs. The mayonnaise based Chicken Salad contained and extra crunch from the celery and pecans.
If you are in the Cincinnati or Covington area, venture back and forth across the bridge. You too can eat at 2 restaurants located in 2 different states in 2 days 🙂
