Thai on a Dime: Noodles, Etc.
I fell in love with Thai food when I was an undergrad. After I graduated, it did not matter in which city I lived because I always found a Thai restaurant.
Now that I have returned to Chicago, I had been on the hunt for great Thai food. The key word is ‘had’. The hunt is over for me. For $20, I can purchase an entree, appetizer, and Thai iced tea, excluding tax & tip at Noodles, Etc. is located in Chicago’s Hyde Park/University of Chicago South side neighborhood at 1333 East 57th Street. Noodles, Etc. offers a variety of appetizers, salads, soups, rice dishes, noodle dishes, and desserts.
During this visit, I purchased my usual Thai Iced Tea along with Chicken Thai Basil Bao and Chicken Panang Curry with brown rice.
The Chicken Thai Basil Bao (steamed filled buns) are my favorite appetizer at Noodles, Etc. They offer a variety of filled buns. If you would like to order buns, be sure to ask the server about their availability. This popular appetizer goes fast.
I typically order pad thai or curry dishes with tofu or chicken. Each dish gets better with each bite at each visit. I can always count on Noodles, Etc. to give me great food with great service at a price that won’t hurt my wallet.
Check out Noodles, Etc. and tell me what you think.
